One change per message

"Make it a watercolour" works. "Make it a watercolour, change the background, add text and fix the lighting" usually does not.

Say what must stay

Tell ChatGPT to keep the face, pose, expression and clothing exactly the same. That is what stops the person from drifting.

Refine, do not restart

Ask for "warmer light" or "less blur" in the same chat. Go back to an earlier version if an edit drifts.

Edit with consent

Edit photos of yourself or of people who agreed. ChatGPT may refuse some edits of real people; that is a safety rule, not a bug.
