Attio Review 2026: Pricing, Pros and Cons vs HubSpot

Our Attio review in one line: Attio is one of the best CRMs a startup can buy in 2026. It is polished, flexible, has a real free plan for up to 3 seats, and paid plans from $35 per seat per month billed annually. Its weak spots are price at scale, a learning curve for its flexible data model, and that you still do the data entry inside its interface. If you want your own AI agent to do that work from Claude or ChatGPT, an agent-first CRM is a different, smaller kind of tool.

Attio is our closest rival, so we will be fair: it is excellent. We make KissMySkills AI CRM. We say where it fits and where it does not, and in several areas Attio is simply better. This review covers Attio pricing, what it does best, where it falls short, Attio vs HubSpot, Attio vs Folk (with a short Folk CRM review), and the agent-first alternative.

Prices checked October 2026 on attio.com, folk.app and hubspot.com. Attio shows prices in local currency; US dollar prices from Attio's USD pricing page are quoted here.

Attio in one paragraph: who it is for

Attio is a modern CRM built around a flexible data model. Instead of forcing you into "contacts, companies, deals", it lets you create your own objects (investors, partners, candidates, properties) and link them like a database. It syncs your email and calendar automatically, enriches records with company data, and has workflows, reporting and an AI assistant built in. It is a natural fit for startups, VC firms, agencies and RevOps teams who find HubSpot rigid and Salesforce heavy.

Attio pricing and plan limits

Plan Price per seat/mo (annual) Monthly billing Seats Records / objects Notable features
Free $0 $0 Up to 3 50,000 records, 3 objects Contact sync, enrichment, basic integrations
Plus $35 $44 Up to 10 250,000 records, 5 objects Private lists, more email sending
Pro $79 $99 Unlimited 1,000,000 records, 12 objects Sequences, call intelligence, advanced reporting, permissions
Enterprise Custom Custom Unlimited Custom SSO, SCIM, advanced security

All plans include Ask Attio (the AI assistant), workflows, API access and integrations, with monthly AI credits that grow by plan. Extra workspace credits are sold in packs.

What this means for a small team: the free plan is genuinely useful for up to 3 people. Most growing teams land on Plus. Pro is where sequences and serious reporting live, and at $79 per seat a 5-person team pays about $4,740 a year. That is in HubSpot Professional territory, without HubSpot's onboarding fee.

What Attio does best

  • Polish. Attio is fast and pleasant to use. Tables, boards and record pages feel like a modern app, not an enterprise form.
  • Flexible objects. You can model almost any business: deal flow for a fund, a recruiting pipeline, a partner program, all linked to the same people and companies.
  • Data enrichment. Add an email domain and Attio fills in company details. Combined with email and calendar sync, your CRM fills itself with people you actually talk to.
  • Reporting. Pro includes advanced reporting with a wide set of report types, enough for a founder or RevOps lead to run the business from.
  • A mature API. Developers like Attio's API and webhooks. If you have engineers, you can connect it to almost anything.

Where Attio falls short

  • Learning curve. Flexibility has a cost. Someone has to design the objects, attributes and views. Teams without a "CRM owner" sometimes build a messy workspace.
  • Price at scale. Plus is capped at 10 seats, so a growing team moves to Pro at $79 per seat. That adds up quickly.
  • Marketing tools. Attio is a CRM, not a marketing suite. There are no landing pages or large email campaigns like HubSpot's Marketing Hub.
  • Data entry still happens inside Attio. Sync and enrichment cover a lot, but deal notes, stage changes and next steps still need a person in the app, or a workflow someone has to build. Attio adds AI inside its UI; you still go there to use it.

Attio vs HubSpot

Attio vs HubSpot is the comparison most teams make, because many Attio customers come from HubSpot.

  • Choose Attio if you want a flexible data model, a fast modern interface, strong enrichment and your team is comfortable designing its own workspace.
  • Choose HubSpot if marketing drives your leads, you want sales, marketing and service on one platform, or you value a huge app marketplace and the fact that most hires already know it. HubSpot's free CRM covers up to 2 users; Sales Hub Professional costs $90 per seat per month plus a $1,500 onboarding fee.

On price, Attio Plus ($35) sits well below HubSpot Professional ($90), and Attio Pro ($79) is still below it. HubSpot Starter ($20 per seat list price, or $7 on annual billing under a limited-time offer for new customers when we checked) is cheaper than both, but lacks the automation most teams upgrade for. See our HubSpot CRM pricing breakdown for the seat math.

Attio vs Folk (and a quick Folk CRM review)

Folk is a relationship-led CRM for people who manage contacts more than complex deals: founders, agencies, consultants, investors and recruiters.

Folk CRM review in brief. Folk is simple and quick to adopt. Its Chrome extension captures contacts from LinkedIn and other sites in one click, and it syncs email, calendar and WhatsApp. It includes pipelines, email campaigns, enrichment and AI assistants. Pricing per folk.app: Standard at $24 per member per month billed annually ($30 monthly), Premium at $48 ($60 monthly) with custom objects, sequences, dashboards and API access, and Enterprise from $80. There is a 2-week free trial.

Attio vs Folk: Folk wins on simplicity and on capturing relationships from Gmail and LinkedIn with almost no setup. Attio wins on data model depth, reporting and API. If you mostly need "who do I know and when did we last talk", Folk is the easier tool. If you need to run a structured pipeline with custom objects and reports, Attio is the stronger one. Anyone looking for a Folk CRM alternative or an Attio alternative usually wants either more structure (move to Attio) or less admin (look at an agent-first CRM).

Agent-first alternative: CRMs your own AI edits

There is a different question to ask about any CRM in 2026: who does the data entry? In Attio, HubSpot and Folk, the answer is mostly "you, with help from sync, enrichment and an AI assistant inside the app". An agent-first CRM answers it differently: the AI agent you already use does it, from wherever you are working.

How MCP changes data entry

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT use outside tools. A CRM that exposes its actions over MCP can be operated entirely from a chat. You paste an email thread and say "add this lead, they want a demo next week". The agent creates the contact and deal, writes the note and sets the reminder. Later you ask "what is stuck in proposal?" and get a list. You never open the CRM unless you want to look at the board. Our guide to the two-way AI CRM walks through real examples, and CRM for AI agents explains the model in more depth.

Attio itself now positions its product around AI agents, and more established CRMs are adding MCP access too. The difference is where the product is centered: Attio is a great app with AI inside; an agent-first CRM is a small app built to be driven from outside.

KissMySkills AI CRM

KissMySkills AI CRM is built for that second model. It is a deliberately simple web app (contacts, deals, stages, notes, reminders, plus tasks and projects) that your Claude or ChatGPT controls through the KissMySkills MCP connector. Your agent can set up stages and fields from a short interview, and every change is saved in a history you can roll back.

It is free for up to 300 deals and 1 user at crm.kissmyskills.com. Unlimited deals come with the All-Access subscription at $15 a month or $129 a year, which also includes the other six KissMySkills tools.

Where Attio and Folk win, honestly: our CRM is younger, has far fewer integrations, no built-in enrichment, lighter reporting and no LinkedIn capture. If those matter, pick Attio or Folk.

Verdict by team type

  • Startup with a RevOps-minded founder: Attio. It will grow with you, and the free plan lets you try it properly.
  • Marketing-led business: HubSpot, because marketing and sales on one database is worth the price.
  • Agency, consultant or investor managing relationships: Folk, for the fastest path from Gmail and LinkedIn to an organised network.
  • Owner or team of 2 to 5 who already work in Claude or ChatGPT all day: an agent-first CRM like ours. The pipeline gets updated in the conversation you are already having.

Whichever you shortlist, test it the same way. Take your last 20 real leads, load them in, and log three real calls the way you normally would. Then wait two days and check whether the pipeline is still accurate without any cleanup. Attio usually passes this test well for teams with someone who enjoys setting up a workspace. Folk passes it for teams whose work happens in email and LinkedIn. An agent-first CRM passes it for people who already describe their day to an AI assistant. The tool that stays accurate with the least effort from you is the right one, whatever its feature list says.

FAQ

What is an AI CRM?

An AI CRM is customer relationship management software where AI does part of the routine work: capturing leads, updating deals, logging notes, reminding you who to follow up with and drafting messages. Some put AI inside the CRM's own interface; agent-first CRMs let your own AI assistant run the CRM from a chat.

What is the easiest CRM to use?

For relationship management, Folk is among the easiest. For a sales pipeline, Pipedrive is known for a short learning curve. If you already work in Claude or ChatGPT, an agent-first CRM can be easiest of all, because you update it by describing what happened in plain words.

Do I need a CRM?

If you have more than about 20 active deals or conversations, or you have lost a lead because nobody followed up, yes. Below that, a spreadsheet can work. The real need is a reliable list of who to follow up with and when.

How much does Attio cost?

As of October 2026, Attio has a free plan for up to 3 seats, Plus at $35 per seat per month billed annually ($44 monthly), Pro at $79 per seat billed annually ($99 monthly) and custom Enterprise pricing.

Let Claude update your deals

If you like the idea of a CRM that your AI keeps up to date, connect Claude to the AI CRM and watch it update deals for you. It is free to start at crm.kissmyskills.com, and All-Access unlocks unlimited deals and all 7 KissMySkills tools for $15 a month.
