DIALOGUE WRITING PROMPTS PACK
A practice pack for fiction writers, screenwriters, and playwrights: 70 original single-line story starters (one line of dialogue that opens a scene), grouped by theme, plus dialogue-only exercises for voice and subtext.

Every prompt here is about talk. The goal is to learn to show character, conflict, and the unsaid through what people say and do not say.

HOW TO USE

ON YOUR OWN
1. Pick a line from any theme. Use it as the first line of a scene.
2. Write 1-2 pages. Dialogue only for the first draft: no tags beyond
   "A:" and "B:", no description. This forces the talk to carry everything.
3. Reread. Mark every place where a character says exactly what they
   feel. Rewrite at least half of those so the feeling shows indirectly.
4. Optional second draft: add only the minimum action beats needed.
