How to merge PDF files
This free merge PDF tool combines two or more PDF documents into one file without uploading anything. Add your files, arrange them in the order you want, optionally choose which pages to keep from each one, and press Merge PDF. The combined document is built in your browser and saved straight to your device.
- Add files. Drop PDFs onto the box or tap it to choose them. Each file shows its page count and size, and you can keep adding more.
- Set the order. Drag the handle, use the arrows, or sort by file name. The top file comes first in the result.
-
Pick pages (optional). Type a range such as
1-3, 7in a file's Pages box to keep only those pages. Leave it empty to keep all of them. - Merge and save. Name the file and press Merge PDF. You can change the order and merge again as often as you like.
Why merge PDFs without uploading them
The best-known PDF sites work by uploading your files, combining them on a server and offering a download link. Even when they promise to delete files after an hour, your documents still travel across the internet and sit on infrastructure you know nothing about. For a job application that is probably fine; for signed contracts, HR files, medical records, tax returns or client data under NDA it may break your own policies. This tool loads an open-source PDF library into the page and does the merging on your device. Nothing is sent to KissMySkills or anyone else, and it keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.
Page ranges: merge only what you need
Each file has its own Pages box, which accepts the same syntax as a print dialog:
-
1-3- pages 1 to 3. -
1, 4, 9- just those pages. -
5-endor5-- page 5 to the last page. -
3-1- pages 3, 2 and 1 in reverse order.
If you type a page number that does not exist, the box turns red and tells you how many pages the file really has, so you never get a silently incomplete result.
What stays the same and what does not
Pages are copied exactly as they are. Text remains selectable and searchable, images are not recompressed and page sizes are kept, so you can mix A4 and Letter files in one document. The result is roughly the size of the input files added together, sometimes a little smaller because shared resources are stored once.
A few things live outside the pages and may not survive any merge tool: bookmarks (the outline panel), fillable form fields and digital signatures. A signed PDF stays visually identical, but the signature is no longer valid once the file is combined with others, so merge before signing whenever you can.
Common reasons to combine PDFs
- Sending one application file instead of a CV, cover letter and certificates as separate attachments.
- Joining monthly statements or invoices into a single file for your accountant.
- Putting a signed contract back together with its appendices and schedules.
- Collecting scanned receipts for an expense claim that accepts only one upload.
Tips for clean merged documents
- Name files with a number prefix such as 01-cover.pdf, 02-report.pdf and use Sort by file name.
- Printing double-sided? Tick the blank page option so every document starts on a new sheet.
- Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first: open them, then save or print a copy without a password.
- Too big to email after merging? Split it into parts or compress the images inside before sending.

FAQ
Is this merge PDF tool free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no file limit and no paid version of this tool. The merge runs on your own device, so it costs us nothing per file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The PDFs are combined inside your browser with an open-source library. They are never sent to KissMySkills or anyone else, and the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
Can I merge only some pages from each PDF?
Yes. Each file has a Pages box. Type ranges such as 1-3, 7 or 5-end to keep only those pages, or leave it empty to keep the whole file. Typing 3-1 adds pages in reverse order.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable and images are not recompressed. Bookmarks, form fields and digital signatures may not carry over.
Why does a file show a password error?
That PDF is encrypted, and its pages cannot be copied until the protection is removed. Open it in your PDF reader with the password, save or print a copy without protection, and add that copy instead.
