What does an AI personal shopper actually do that a styling skill does not?+
It works one step earlier. A styling skill puts together outfits from clothes you already own. This one decides whether an item should enter the wardrobe at all: what the real gap is, what you should pay, how many wears make it worth it, and which purchases to skip. It is a buying discipline tool, not an outfit generator.
Can it see my wardrobe or the item I am looking at?+
No. It cannot see you, your clothes or the product page, so it works entirely from what you describe. Give it the fabric composition, the price, the measurements and what you already own in that slot, and it will be useful. Ask it whether something suits you visually and it will tell you it cannot know.
Will it just push me towards expensive things?+
No. It asks for a total budget for the next three months rather than a per item one, then spends it where cost per wear is best. Sometimes that is a well made coat. Often it is a cheap item you will wear four times a week, or nothing at all until the current gap list is closed.
