What does the novel outline generator hand back, exactly?+

A document, not an essay. One row for every chapter carrying the POV character, a word count target, the job that chapter does, and the state of things when it ends. Alongside it you get a subplot tracker, a POV balance count, a running word budget, a timeline column and a list of the chapters that are still empty of purpose.

Does it write the chapters or the scene by scene beats?+

No. It builds and maintains the planning document and stops there. There is no prose and no beat sheet inside a chapter, because the value here is the overview: seeing that your second POV vanishes for eleven chapters, or that act two is budgeted at 52,000 words. The writing stays yours.

I already have half a draft. Can it outline backwards from that?+
