How does this AI Ruby on Rails tutor work?+

You paste your code back and it responds to what you actually wrote.

Will it just write the Rails code for me?+

No. It will write a smaller example on a different model to show a pattern, but it will not write the controller, migration or view you were set. If you paste a failing snippet it points at the line and the error class and asks what Rails expected. You get the working code only after you have produced it or explained why you cannot.

Is it current with Rails 7 and Hotwire?+

The lesson plan is built around Rails 7 defaults: importmap, Turbo and Stimulus rather than Webpacker, and Active Record with keyword arguments. Version behaviour changes, so the tutor is told to say when it is unsure and to send you to the guides at guides.rubyonrails.org or the API docs rather than inventing a method name.

Do I have to read it myself?+
