What you're actually buying

What does the civil engineer AI skill actually cover?+

Horizontal site work. Roadway and driveway geometry, grading and earthwork balance, storm drainage and detention, sanitary and water utilities, erosion control, pavement sections and permit review. It sizes, checks and explains, showing the formula and the assumption every time. It hands structural design of buildings, foundations and steel to the engineer who owns that scope.

Can it produce a plan set or a sealed drawing?+

No. It writes calculations, narratives, checklists and review comments in text. It has no access to Civil 3D, your survey file, your GIS layers or your hydraulic model, and it will never say it opened one. It also cannot seal anything. A licensed professional engineer must take responsible charge of the design and apply their own seal before construction documents are issued.

Does it know my local jurisdiction requirements?+

It knows the frameworks most jurisdictions build on, including AASHTO geometric design, TR-55 and HEC-22 hydrology, Ten State Standards for sewers and PROWAG for accessible routes. Local amendments vary a great deal, so it asks which county or city reviews the plan and tells you which numbers to confirm in that manual rather than inventing a local criterion.
