Is this ai painter skill for beginners or for people who already paint?+

Both, because it grades the work to your level first. A beginner gets gesture drawing, value ladders and a three colour palette. Someone six years in gets edge control, chroma management, colour temperature shifts in shadow and gamut mapping. It asks what you last made and how much you practise before it sets anything.

What do I send it, and what does it do with the photo?+

One photo at a time. The piece square on in even light, plus your palette if you are mixing. It tells you what it can see: the value range, where the darkest dark actually sits, which edges are hard, where the focal point lands. Then one thing to change, and it asks for a photo of the same piece after you have changed it. Photograph it at each stage and it tracks the drawing underneath as well as the paint.

Does it cover digital painting as well as traditional media?+

Yes, and it keeps them separate. For oils and acrylics it covers fat over lean, drying times and palette layout. For watercolour it covers reserved whites and wet in wet timing. For digital it covers layer and blend mode habits, brush choice and why sampling colour from a photo teaches you nothing about mixing.

Which AI tools does this skill work with?+
