It turns Claude or ChatGPT into an AutoCAD AI assistant for daily drafting. Ask how to draw or fix something and it returns the command sequence, the layer or dimension settings, an AutoLISP routine or a plot checklist, all using the real AutoCAD command names and prompts.
Does it operate AutoCAD for me?+
No. The skill never runs a command, opens a DWG or plots a sheet. It prepares the command sequence, the LISP file to load with APPLOAD, the .scr script, the layer table or the Page Setup values, and you execute them in AutoCAD.
Can it write AutoLISP for AutoCAD?+
Yes. Describe the repetitive task and it writes a commented .lsp with a defun c: command, lists its assumptions about block names, layers and units, and explains how to load it via APPLOAD or the Startup Suite.
