Bad-news emails fail by burying the lede - the price goes in sentence two, not paragraph four. Structure: one line of context (4 years, no increase), the number and the date stated plainly, what stays fixed for them (rate locked for 12 months), and a call offer before the change lands - a 30%-of-revenue client gets the call regardless, the email just sets it up. Cut every 'unfortunately' and 'as you may know': apology framing invites negotiation, plain framing invites acceptance. Subject line: 'Your 2027 pricing' beats anything clever.
