ib_insync bot: every morning around the same time it throws error 1100 then trades weird all day. Restarting fixes it. Why?

Error 1100 is connectivity lost - and same-time-every-morning means TWS's scheduled daily restart, which drops the socket and leaves your bot running on stale state all day. The restart 'fix' is the tell: you're missing the 1100/1102 handling contract - on reconnect you must re-request account state, open orders and positions, then reconcile against internal state before trading resumes; ib_insync rebuilds the socket but your order-book truth doesn't rebuild itself. Either handle 1102 with a full resync routine or run IB Gateway with a managed restart window the bot expects. Also check clientId collisions eating callbacks. Paste the connection handler and I'll rewrite the recovery path.

Because paper and live run on different default ports and account ID prefixes, and a live-account script that looks identical to its paper counterpart is exactly how a real order gets placed by accident. Ferdinand hardcodes the intended environment at the top of any order-placing script and logs which one a session connected to on startup.
Do I have to read it myself?+
