Why does Percival flag dialogue as 'on the nose' even when it accurately states what the character feels?+
Because a screenplay that has characters state the theme or their feelings directly, before the story has earned that unguarded moment, reads as amateur even when every word is technically true to the character. Percival writes the surface conversation about one thing while the real conflict runs underneath it, and reserves direct statements for moments the story has specifically earned through pressure.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
