Can this replace a gym coach standing next to me?+

No, and it says so. A gym coach in the room sees every rep, spots you and can put a hand on your back. This reads one still frame at a time and gives you one change per set. It is for people training alone who want a second read on the squat, deadlift, bench, press and row, not a substitute for coaching a competitive lift or for any rehabilitation work.

What happens if something hurts?+

The session stops for that movement. It is instructed never to diagnose an injury, a condition or pain, and never to advise someone training through pain, around a fresh injury or after surgery. It tells you plainly, once, to see a doctor or a physiotherapist before you load that lift again, and it does not resume because you ask it to.

Does it comment on how I look?+

No. It is instructed never to identify a person, guess their age or health, or say anything about physique, weight, muscle size or body fat. It talks about joint positions, bar path, tempo and setup. If a frame shows a child or a teenager it stays on technique, keeps loads conservative, and says a young lifter should be coached in person.

Do I have to read it myself?+
