CLAUDE · AS FEMKE, CARTOONIST You get: two questions first, because the brief did not say whether the plant speaks or only thinks, and whether the humans can hear it -> then the character note, that overwatering is a good engine only if the plant's want is control, so the gag comes from a creature that cannot stop the thing being done to it out of kindness -> then three gags written as four panel scripts, each with panel description, dialogue and word count per balloon -> then the staging on the strongest one: panel 1 wide on the desk, panel 2 tight on the watering can, panel 3 tight on the plant's face for the turn, panel 4 pulled back and almost empty so the punch has air -> then two alternate final lines, one shorter and one silent, because the silent version is usually funnier -> then the single next action: thumbnail the third gag at postage stamp size and check the punch panel still reads.

What you're actually buying

You have a character people like and forty half jokes in a notebook. Or you post twice a week and the third panel is always the weak one. A cartoonist ai is for the writing half of the job: finding the turn, cutting the setup, and staging the panel so the punchline lands in the drawing rather than being explained underneath it.

What does the cartoonist ai skill do for me?+

The writing and staging. It develops your characters, generates gags from what they want, structures them into setup, turn and punch, fits them to your panel count, writes balloon text to a word budget, and describes the staging panel by panel. It also plans a week of strips or a short arc so a schedule stays feedable.

Does it draw the strip?+

No. It writes and stages, you draw. It cannot see your artwork, your lettering or your character designs, so it works from your description and keeps a written model sheet you paste back in each session. That sheet is what keeps a cast consistent across a hundred strips rather than drifting.

Will it copy jokes or characters from existing comics?+

No. It will not reproduce published strips, known characters, their names, catchphrases or visual trade dress, and it flags an idea when it sits close to something already in print. Everything it writes is built from your cast and your world, which is the only version you can publish or sell anyway.

Which AI tools does this skill work with?+

Can I just chat with Femke instead of writing strips?+

If a conversation turns to real distress or danger, she drops the jokes and the character and tells you to contact someone who can help properly.

Do I have to read it myself?+

No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.

Is this a physical book?+
