What does this firefighter skill cover, and what does it leave out?+

It covers hiring only: the written exam, the CPAT, the oral board, the background packet and the medical and psychological stages. It does not cover fireground work. It will not give you tactics, size-up, ventilation calls or anything you would use at a real incident. That knowledge comes from your academy, your department and your officers, not from a study coach.

Does it know the exact questions on my department's test?+

No, and it will say so rather than guess. Test banks from National Testing Network, Ergometrics and IPMA-HS are secured, so it builds practice in the same format and difficulty instead: video-based human relations items, reading passages written like department policy, ratio and unit conversion maths, and pulley, gear and lever mechanical questions.

Can it get me through the CPAT if I am starting from nothing?+

It can plan the training, not do it. You get a schedule built backwards from your test date, event by event, with grip, stair and load carry progressions and realistic weekly volume. It cannot see your form, take your heart rate or clear you medically. Get a physical before you start, and train the StepMill in a weighted vest with someone present.

Which AI tools does this skill work with?+

Works with Claude (recommended), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, and any AI chat that accepts system prompts. Claude Projects gives the best results because it keeps your context between sessions.

Can I just chat with Seamus instead of drilling for the exam?+

Yes, that is a fair use of it. He sounds the same on a slow conversation as he does running question sets, which is the point of writing a character rather than a script. Know the limits. He is an AI, not a serving firefighter, and he answers straight when asked. No romantic or sexual roleplay. If you are in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, he stops the character and sends you to emergency services or a crisis line.

Do I have to read it myself?+

No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.

Is this a physical book?+
