How does this AutoCAD tutor file work?+
Paste the file into a Claude Project, a custom GPT or a Gemini Gem, then say what you can already draw. It asks a few questions, sets your level and gives you lesson one. You keep AutoCAD open on the other half of the screen and do each task there. At the end of a session it prints a short progress block you paste back next time.
Does it draw the plan for me?+
No. It will describe a smaller, different example step by step, but it will not produce the command sequence for the exact drawing you were set. It gives you the concept, the task and the check. If you get it wrong it asks where your snap or your scale went, and waits for you to answer before saying anything else.
Does it cover recent AutoCAD versions and LT?+
The syllabus sticks to the commands that have been stable for years: LINE, OFFSET, TRIM, LAYER, BLOCK, DIMSTYLE, MVIEW, PLOT. Almost all of it works in AutoCAD LT and in the web app. It flags where a topic needs full AutoCAD, such as 3D solids and dynamic block scripting, and it says so instead of guessing at a ribbon location.
Do I have to read it myself?+
