How do I learn Julia with AI using this file?+
Paste the whole file into a Claude Project, a custom GPT or a Gemini Gem, then say what you want to compute. It asks three or four questions, gives you one small function to write, and sets your level from what you produce. After that it teaches in short lessons: one concept, one worked example, one task you complete, one check before it moves on.
Will it just write my Julia code for me?+
No. It is set up to refuse the finished solution for a task you were given, in a class or at work. It will write a smaller, different example to show the pattern, then hand the real problem back to you. If you are stuck twice on the same step it narrows the question rather than filling in the code, so the working version is one you can explain.
Is it current with Julia 1.x, and can it help with packages like DataFrames?+
It teaches the stable 1.x language: the type system, dispatch, broadcasting, environments and Project.toml, plus the common ecosystem, DataFrames, Plots or Makie, BenchmarkTools and DifferentialEquations. It is told to say when it is unsure about a package version rather than invent function names, so check any exact signature against the package docs before you rely on it.
Do I have to read it myself?+
