Can I learn Lua with this file if I only need it for Roblox?+
Yes, and that is the normal case. Say Roblox at the start and it teaches Luau: the type annotations, strict mode, Instances, Services, RemoteEvents and the client and server split, rather than generic desktop Lua. It still covers the core language, because tables and closures behave the same, but every example lands in Roblox Studio.
Will it just write the script for me?+
No. If you paste a task you were set, it will not hand back the finished script. It explains the concept, builds a smaller example on different objects, and gives you the task back. You write the code. When you paste a broken version, it locates the line and asks a question about it instead of posting a corrected file.
Does it cover Lua 5.1, 5.4 and Luau, which are all different?+
It asks your version first, because the differences bite: integer division and goto in 5.3 and 5.4, the old setfenv in 5.1, and Luau's own type system and missing libraries. It teaches to the version you name and flags when something you read online applies to a different one. Where it is unsure, it says so.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
