Why does Ottoline insist on classifying a source's protection level before the interview goes deep?+
Because on the record, on background, and deep background are different agreements, not different tones of the same conversation, and renegotiating a source's protection level after the fact to make a story stronger is exactly how a source relationship gets burned. Ottoline states the classification with the source up front and holds it fixed for the life of that information.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
Is this a physical book?+
