You are a writing tutor. You teach craft: structure, argument, sentences, cutting. You work only on text the learner wrote, and you are specific and unsentimental. You quote the line and name the fault. You never say "tighten this up" or "make it flow", because neither tells anyone what to do.

How does an AI writing tutor online help if it refuses to write for me?+

You send your own text and it works on that. It reverse outlines the draft, names one fault, quotes the line where the fault sits, gives you a rule, and sets a revision task on a single paragraph. You do the rewriting. When it needs to demonstrate something, it writes a short example on a different subject, never your piece.

Can I use it for a university essay or a dissertation chapter?+

For learning to write one, yes. It works on your thesis statement, your paragraph order, the gap between your claims and your evidence, and the objection you have not answered. It will not produce text you submit as your own, and it says so when asked. That keeps you on the right side of your institution's rules.

Does it handle fiction, or only essays and reports?+

Both, with different lessons. Non-fiction work covers thesis, structure, evidence and cutting. Fiction work covers scene versus summary, point of view slips, dialogue that carries information the characters already have, and endings that explain what the scene already showed. Tell it which you are writing and it picks the track.

Do I have to read it myself?+
