HubSpot CRM Pricing 2026: What Small Teams Actually Pay

HubSpot CRM pricing starts at $0: the free CRM is real and covers up to 2 users. The money starts when you need sales automation. Sales Hub Starter lists at $20 per seat per month; when we checked, HubSpot was running a limited-time offer for new customers of $7 per seat per month on annual billing. Professional costs $90 per seat per month plus a $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise starts at $150 per seat plus $3,500 onboarding. For a 5-person team, year one runs from about $1,200 on Starter at the $20 list price (about $420 if you get the limited-time $7 offer) to about $6,900 on Professional. A 10-person team on Professional pays about $12,300.

This guide does the seat math that most HubSpot CRM pricing pages skip: what a real small team pays in year one, where the free plan stops being enough, what the Breeze AI credits cover, and when a cheaper CRM is enough. We make one of the cheaper options, KissMySkills AI CRM. We say where it fits and where it does not, and where HubSpot is simply the better buy.

HubSpot CRM pricing at a glance

HubSpot sells its sales tools as Sales Hub, priced per seat. A seat is a user who needs the paid sales features. Here is what the Sales Hub pricing page showed when we checked.

Plan Price per seat/mo Seats included Key limits Onboarding fee AI included
Free $0 Up to 2 users HubSpot branding, 3 email templates and 3 snippets, basic pipeline tools None Basic AI features with limited credits
Starter $20 list price; $7 on annual billing as a limited-time offer for new customers Per seat you buy Light automation, email support only None 500 HubSpot Credits per month
Professional $90 annual ($100 billed monthly) Per seat you buy Sequences, forecasting, playbooks, custom reporting $1,500 one-time 3,000 HubSpot Credits per month
Enterprise From $150 (annual) Per seat you buy Custom objects, advanced permissions, annual commitment $3,500 one-time 5,000 HubSpot Credits per month

Two details matter more than the headline numbers. First, the jump from Starter to Professional is more than fourfold per seat even at Starter's $20 list price, and that is where most small teams end up once they want sequences or forecasting. Second, Professional and Enterprise come with a required one-time onboarding fee, which is easy to miss when you compare monthly prices.

Is HubSpot really free? What the free CRM includes and where the limits bite

Yes, HubSpot's free CRM is genuinely free, with no credit card and no time limit. That answers the most common question people search for: is HubSpot free? The CRM core is, and it is good. You get contacts, companies, deals, a pipeline board, tasks, email tracking and a shared inbox, for up to 2 users.

Where the free plan starts to bite for a small sales team:

  • Users. The free plan covers up to 2 users. A third salesperson means a paid plan.
  • Templates and snippets. You get 3 email templates and 3 snippets. Anyone who sends similar follow-ups every day hits that wall in the first week.
  • Automation. Sequences (automated follow-up emails), workflow automation and forecasting are paid features. These are usually the reason a team upgrades.
  • Branding. Forms, meeting links and emails carry HubSpot branding on the free plan.
  • Reporting. Basic dashboards are included; custom reports that a sales manager wants come with Professional.

Why is HubSpot free? Because the free CRM is how HubSpot acquires customers. Once your contacts, emails and deal history live there, moving is work, and the paid hubs (Sales, Marketing, Service) are one click away. That is a fair business model, but it is worth knowing before you build your whole process around free.

What a 5-person and a 10-person sales team pay in year one

Here is the year-one cost of HubSpot CRM for small business teams, using the prices above. These are list prices before any negotiated discount. The Starter offer column only applies if you qualify for HubSpot's limited-time new-customer price on annual billing.

Team Starter ($20 list) Starter (limited-time $7 offer, annual) Professional Enterprise
5 seats $1,200 $420 $5,400 + $1,500 = $6,900 $9,000 + $3,500 = $12,500
10 seats $2,400 $840 $10,800 + $1,500 = $12,300 $18,000 + $3,500 = $21,500

Seats

The biggest driver of HubSpot CRM cost is how many people need paid seats. Not every user does: someone who only views records can sometimes stay on a free or lower seat. Before you buy, list who actually sends sequences, runs forecasts or manages the pipeline. That number, not your headcount, is your seat count.

Onboarding fees

Professional carries a $1,500 one-time onboarding fee and Enterprise $3,500. On a 5-seat Professional plan, onboarding adds almost 28% to the first-year bill. Ask your HubSpot rep whether it can be waived; sometimes it is, but plan for paying it.

Contact tiers

Sales Hub is priced by seat. Marketing Hub is priced by the number of marketing contacts you store and email, and those tiers rise as your list grows. If you add Marketing Hub later, the contact tier can become a larger line than the sales seats. If you only use Sales Hub, this mostly does not apply, but read the contact terms in your quote.

Breeze AI: what is included and what costs extra

Breeze is HubSpot's AI layer: an assistant that summarises records and drafts emails, plus agents for tasks like prospecting and customer support. It runs on HubSpot Credits. Each paid plan includes a monthly allowance (500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional, 5,000 on Enterprise), the credits reset every month and do not roll over, and extra credits cost $0.010 each.

What this means in practice: light use of the assistant on Starter is covered. Heavy use of agents, data enrichment or large AI workflows burns credits fast, and the bill becomes variable. If AI is a main reason you are buying, ask HubSpot to estimate your monthly credit use from your real volume before signing. For a deeper look at what each Breeze feature does, see our guide to HubSpot AI and its native features.

Hidden costs: onboarding, add-ons, annual commitments

  • Onboarding fees on Professional and Enterprise, covered above.
  • Annual commitment. The lowest per-seat prices assume annual billing. On Professional, monthly billing costs $100 per seat instead of $90.
  • Promotions end. The $7 Starter price is a limited-time offer for new customers on annual billing; HubSpot shows $20 per seat per month as the list price. Check what renewal costs, not only year one.
  • Extra credits. AI and data features beyond your included credits are billed per use.
  • Other hubs. Marketing, Service and Content hubs are separate products with their own pricing. Teams often start with Sales Hub and add a second hub within a year.
  • People time. HubSpot is easy to start and deep to master. On Professional, someone on your team will spend real hours on workflows, properties and reports. That time is a cost even if no invoice shows it.

When HubSpot is worth the money

We make a competing product, so take this seriously: for many teams, HubSpot is the right answer. It is clearly stronger than small CRMs in these areas:

  • Marketing automation. Email campaigns, landing pages, forms, lead scoring and attribution, all connected to the same contact records.
  • Integrations. Email, calendar, ads platforms and a large app marketplace that covers almost any tool you already use.
  • Reporting depth. Custom dashboards and forecasting that a sales manager can run a weekly meeting from.
  • Hiring. Many sales and marketing hires already know HubSpot, so training time is low.

If you run inbound marketing on HubSpot, staying is usually right. Moving your CRM away from your marketing data creates more work than it saves.

Cheaper options for small teams

If you mostly need a pipeline, contacts and tasks, there are cheaper ways to get them. Our longer list is in HubSpot alternatives for small teams; here are three worth a look.

Pipedrive

Pipedrive is built around a visual sales pipeline and is easy for salespeople to adopt. As listed on Pipedrive's pricing page in October 2026 (annual billing), plans start at $14 per seat per month (Lite), with Growth at $39, Premium at $59 and Ultimate at $79. It is a strong pick for a pure sales team that does not need HubSpot's marketing tools.

Attio

Attio is a flexible, modern CRM with a free plan for up to 3 seats and paid plans from $35 per seat per month billed annually ($44 billed monthly), per attio.com in October 2026. It suits startups that want custom data models and good enrichment.

An agent-first CRM like KissMySkills AI CRM

KissMySkills AI CRM takes a different approach. Instead of paying per seat for AI features inside the CRM, you connect the AI you already use (Claude or ChatGPT) through the KissMySkills MCP connector, and it does the data entry. You say "met Dana from Brightline, wants a quote for 40 units by Friday", and your agent creates the contact, the deal, the note and the reminder.

Pricing is simple. It is free for up to 300 deals and 1 user at crm.kissmyskills.com. Unlimited deals come with the All-Access subscription at $15 a month or $129 a year, which also unlocks the other KissMySkills tools (AI Receptionist, AI Contract Review, Find leads, Hiring, AI SEO and AI Dashboard).

Where it does not fit: it has no marketing automation, no email campaigns and far fewer integrations than HubSpot. It assumes you already work in Claude or ChatGPT every day. If you do not, a classic CRM will serve you better. Our best AI CRM guide explains the two approaches in detail.

Option 5 seats, year one (list) Best for Main gap
HubSpot Sales Hub Professional $6,900 incl. onboarding Teams that need sequences, forecasting and marketing in one place Cost per seat
Pipedrive Growth $2,340 Pipeline-focused sales teams Marketing tools are add-ons
Attio Plus $2,100 Startups that want flexible data Smaller ecosystem than HubSpot
KissMySkills AI CRM Free for 1 user and 300 deals; $129/yr for unlimited deals Owners and small teams who live in Claude or ChatGPT Young product, few integrations

How to decide: a 5-question checklist

  1. Do you run marketing campaigns from your CRM? If yes, HubSpot is hard to beat. If no, you may be paying for a suite you do not use.
  2. How many people truly need paid seats? Count senders and managers, not everyone who looks at a deal.
  3. Which feature is pushing you to upgrade? If it is sequences or forecasting, price Professional with onboarding. If it is "we need the pipeline to stay updated", a cheaper or agent-first CRM may solve it.
  4. What will year two cost? Ask for renewal pricing in writing, especially if your year-one price is a promotion.
  5. Who will maintain it? A CRM nobody updates is worth nothing at any price. Pick the option your team will actually keep current.
