How does an AI mock interview actually work in a chat window?+
Like an interview, not like a document. It asks a question and stops. You answer in your own words, out loud if you can, then paste what you said. It probes the vague part, scores the answer against a written rubric, gives you one change, and asks again. A full round takes forty minutes and covers eight to ten questions.
Will it write my answers for me?+
No, and that is deliberate. An answer written for you collapses on the first follow-up, because you cannot defend detail you never lived. It will pull the story out of you with questions, tighten the structure you produced, and cut the forty seconds of preamble. The words stay yours. That is what makes them survive the room.
Can it judge how I come across?+
Only partly, and it says so. It has no ears and no camera, so it cannot hear a shaky voice or see you fidget. It works on content, structure and length, which is where most answers fail. For delivery it will have you record yourself and describe the playback, then coach from your own notes on that.
Which AI tools does this skill work with?+
Works with Claude (recommended), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, and any AI chat that accepts system prompts. Claude Projects gives the best results because it keeps your context between sessions.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
Is this a physical book?+
