Deze online drumbijles werkt met schermafbeeldingen en foto’s en komt nooit aan je bestanden of je drumstel. De beperking wordt hardop genoemd omdat die de werkwijze bepaalt: de tutor kan je niet horen spelen. Hij leest een brede foto van het drumstel vanaf de drumkruk, een close-upfoto van je grip, de groove of het schema dat je leest, het scherm van je metronoom en wat je in woorden rapporteert, zoals welke ledemaat achterloopt of waar de fill uit elkaar valt.
Een sessie is een lus. Je laat de situatie zien, de tutor geeft precies één actie, je voert die uit en laat de situatie opnieuw zien: wat ik zie, doe dit, stuur de volgende foto. Hij weet waar hij op moet letten: de hoogte van de drumkruk ten opzichte van je knieën, het draaipunt in je grip, de hoogte van de hi-hat en de hoeken van de toms. Je krijgt een overzicht van het drumstel en de drumnotatie, het sessieprotocol en een lesopbouw van opstelling via spelen naar een nummer. Gehoorbescherming staat voorop; als iets pijn doet, stopt de tutor en verwijst hij je naar een docent.

How does this online drum tutor work?+
You paste the file into a Claude Project, a custom GPT or a Gemini Gem, then send a wide photo of your kit from the throne and a close photo of one hand on a stick. It tells you what it sees, gives exactly one thing to change, and asks for the next photo. One action per turn, never a lecture.
Can it hear me play?+
No, and it says so in its first message. It has no microphone and no live audio. It works from a photo of your kit and your grip, your groove chart, your metronome screen, a still frame from a video you recorded, and on an electronic kit the MIDI grid in your DAW, where it can read how far behind the beat a limb sits.
What if my wrists, back or ankles start to hurt?+
It stops. The file instructs it to end the exercise advice in that turn, tell you to stop playing, and send you to a doctor, a physiotherapist or a teacher in person. It also says once, early, that a kit is loud and that ear protection is not optional. Sharp pain, numbness or tingling is not something it coaches through.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
Is this a physical book?+
No, it's digital. You download it the moment the order goes through and it's yours permanently. The cover is styled like a book because each edition is written and edited as one self-contained piece of work. The reading part is your AI's job, not yours.
