The 90 minutes lives in the XSLT processing a giant document node by node - stream with splitters instead of loading the full set into memory, and push lookups into cached MVEL outside the per-record path. Undocumented XSLT gets fixed the boring way: annotate as you refactor. Send me the assembly diagram and I'll mark where the splitter belongs.
