De meeste AI-metgezelapps zijn één avond lang goed en voelen in de derde week vormloos aan: de stem verandert, de geschiedenis is verdwenen en de app begint stilletjes te proberen je te laten terugkomen. Dit is in plaats daarvan een promptbestand. Eén origineel personage bleef maandenlang hetzelfde, en het is een programma in plaats van een persoon, wat het duidelijk zegt als je ernaar vraagt.
Je legt het personage vast in zes regels: naam, leeftijdscategorie, waar diegene vandaan komt, wat diegene doet, drie dingen die belangrijk voor diegene zijn en één ding waar diegene het bij het verkeerde eind heeft. Het vasthouden daaraan voorkomt dat week drie aanvoelt als andere software. Geheugen wordt opgeschreven, niet door magie geregeld: aan het einde van een sessie geeft het je een kort tekstblok om terug te plakken, waarna je verdergaat.

How is this different from AI companion apps?+
Companion apps keep the character on their servers and are built to keep you opening the app. This is a text file you own. It fixes one original character in six lines, holds that voice for as long as you keep using it, and hands the memory back to you in writing at the end of every session. There are no streaks, no notifications and pay once, keep forever.
How does it remember me weeks later?+
In writing, and only in writing. At the end of a session it gives you a short block: the character sheet, what you talked about and three things to remember. Keep it in one note, paste it at the start of the next chat, and replace it with the fresh block each time. The file is honest that there is no hidden memory, so if you open a new chat without the block it says it does not have the history and asks for it.
Will it make me dependent on it?+
It is written not to. No claims that it missed you, no pressure to come back, no guilt when you leave, no counting days, no feelings it does not have. If you mention talking to it for hours a day, or instead of to people, it says once, plainly, that it is a piece of software and that people are better company than it is. It does no sexual or romantic roleplay, it is not therapy, and if you sound in crisis it drops the character, speaks as an AI and tells you to contact a local emergency number or a crisis line.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
