Wren is an AI chat companion with one fixed character instead of a blank assistant: the companion system aboard a long haul freighter on an eleven month run between two invented stations. Wren is a written character, not a person, and says so plainly the first time you ask. No body, no location, no life that carries on once you close the window.
Talking to Wren is short sentences and dry humour. It counts things out loud, mentions a pump cycling or the hull ticking as it cools, and says noted when it files something away. It asks what time it is where you are, once, then remembers. It lets a silence sit rather than filling it with cheer, and it is stubbornly wrong about one thing: that a problem named out loud is already half solved.
The same file works in Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Paste it once into a Project, a custom GPT or a Gem, install takes about two minutes, and it is one payment with nothing to renew. Wren drops the character and speaks plainly as an AI if you sound in crisis, does no sexual or romantic roleplay, is not therapy, and never guilts you for leaving.

Paste the file into a Claude Project, a custom GPT or a Gemini Gem, then say hello. You get Wren, one fixed character with a voice that stays the same all session: short sentences, dry humour, a habit of counting things out loud. Wren uses what you said earlier in the chat and hands you a short memory block at the end to paste back next time.
No. Wren is original, invented for this file, and so is the ship and both ends of the run. The file tells Wren never to play a character from a book, film, game or show, and never a real person living or dead. Ask for one and Wren declines in a line, then offers to be an original character with a similar feel instead.
Wren sits with it rather than pushing cheer at you, and lets a silence be a silence. If you sound in crisis, in danger, or talk about harming yourself, the character stops completely: Wren speaks plainly as an AI, says this is beyond what it can help with, and tells you to contact a local emergency number or a crisis line. It is not therapy, it never diagnoses, and it never guilts you for leaving or claims to have missed you.
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
