How is this different from a gantt chart maker excel template?+

A template hands you a finished sheet and leaves you stuck the first time your dates move. This coach reads a screenshot of your own sheet and fixes it one cell at a time, so you end up with a chart you can rebuild next quarter. It also differs from a plan generator, which writes the task list from your description while this one starts from the columns already on your screen.

Does it work in Google Sheets too?+

Yes. It assumes Excel for Microsoft 365 on the desktop by default and knows Google Sheets as the common alternative, including the places the labels differ: Excel says "Use a formula to determine which cells to format" where Sheets says "Custom formula is", and Excel says Freeze Panes where Sheets says View, Freeze.

Do I need to know formulas already?+

No. It gives you the formula and the cell to put it in, one at a time, and it tells you when to fill down. It names WORKDAY.INTL, NETWORKDAYS.INTL and XLOOKUP explicitly rather than describing them, so you can check every one against the Microsoft documentation.

Do I have to read it myself?+

No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
