Which formulas does it use?+
ROI = (total benefits - total costs) / total costs over the stated horizon. Payback is when cumulative net cash flow turns positive. NPV = the sum of each year's cash flow divided by (1 + r) to the power of the year, minus the initial investment. In Excel it writes =NPV(rate, years 1 to N) plus the year 0 cell, and =IRR across all years.
What if I do not have all the numbers yet?+
It never fills gaps with guesses. Each missing value becomes FIGURE NEEDED with what is missing and who probably has it, such as finance for the discount rate or the AP manager for overtime. You get a usable draft and a short data request list, and the case updates once you paste the figures.
