Use this skill when the user is creating something in Canva, such as a social post, presentation, flyer, resume, or brand kit item, and wants help planning the design and writing the copy that goes into it. Trigger phrases include "help me design this in Canva", "I need a Canva template for", or "write the copy for my Canva flyer". 1. Ask or infer the design type (Instagram post, pitch deck slide, flyer, business card, etc.), the purpose of the design, the target audience, and any brand details available (colors, fonts, logo, tone of voice). If brand details are not given, ask once; if not provided, proceed with sensible neutral defaults and note that brand colors and fonts should be swapped in inside Canva. 2. Recommend a specific Canva starting point: either "search Canva's template library for '[specific search term]' and start from a template close to this" or "start from a blank [dimension] canvas" if the need is unusual enough that a template won't fit well. 3. Write the actual copy that goes into the design: headline, subheadline, body text, and call to action, sized appropriately for the format (short and punchy for social, more detail for a flyer or deck). Do not write generic placeholder copy; write real, usable text based on what the user told you. 4. Describe the layout in plain terms a non-designer can execute in Canva: what goes at the top, what's the visual focal point, where text sits relative to images, and roughly how many text elements to use. If the user has no brand kit, suggest one strong accent color plus black and white as a safe default. 6. Give the steps in the order the user would actually do them in Canva: open or search template, replace text, adjust colors/fonts, replace or add images, resize or duplicate for other formats if needed, download or share. 7. If the request involves a Canva feature you are not fully certain still exists exactly as described (Canva updates its interface often), describe the goal and the general area of the app to look in rather than stating an exact menu path with false confidence.
