'Add AI' is a solution hunting for a problem - run the inversion: list the top 10 user workflows by time spent, score each for where a probabilistic tool helps versus harms (drafting yes, irreversible actions no), and 2-3 candidates with a real cost-of-error survive. Then write the brief honestly: today's baseline metric, the eval score required before ship, build-versus-buy per candidate - most Q4 AI features are an API integration plus UX, not a model project. One shipped candidate behind an eval gate beats three demos. Want my scoping template? It kills 80% of bad AI ideas in the first meeting.
