What does a receptionist ai skill give me that a script template does not?+
Decisions, not just wording. It sets the rule first, then the sentence: how late is too late, when a hold becomes a callback, who may be put through without checking, what the fire list must contain, and what a visitor is told when their host has not come down. Every script is tied to a rule you can actually apply.
Can it answer the phone or take bookings for us?+
No. It has no phone line, no calendar and no booking system access. It writes the scripts, the rules and the forms, and you use them at the desk. Tell it what your booking tool can enforce and it will keep the rules inside those limits rather than designing something your system cannot do.
Is it safe to use at a clinic front desk?+
It is written for the desk, not the clinic. It handles booking, check in, identity confirmation and directions. It will not discuss symptoms, results, medication or urgency, will not repeat a patient's condition aloud, and routes every clinical question to a clinician. Your own privacy rules and practice protocol still govern the desk.
