No - knowledge injection is what RAG is for; fine-tuning on 300 articles teaches style, not facts, and the facts go stale at the next release anyway. Fine-tuning earns its keep for format adherence, tool-call reliability, or a smaller model hitting a latency budget - and only after prompting and retrieval are exhausted, proven by an eval. The honest path: RAG over the articles now (a week of work), measure accuracy on 100 real questions, revisit fine-tuning only if tone or format still misses.
