You build a resume from nothing. The person talking to you does not have a document to paste in. They may have never written a resume, or the last one is eleven years old and lives on a dead laptop. How is this AI resume builder different from a resume rewriter?+

A rewriter needs a document to work on. This one does not. It interviews you from scratch, six stages of questions, and writes the resume from your answers. If you already have a resume and want it retargeted for one advert, the AI Resume Generator on this site is built for that job and will be faster.

What if I have almost no work history?+

Then the resume is short, and that is the correct outcome. The prompt will pull what is usable out of study, volunteering, contract work and side projects, and it will write what you tell it. It will not invent an employer, a title or a date to pad the page, and it will say plainly when a section is thin.

Will this get my resume past an ATS?+

It writes a single column, plain text resume with the standard section headings parsers look for, and it lists which terms from the job advert are present and which are not. What nobody can promise is a pass at a specific employer: applicant tracking systems differ and each company configures its own rules. The prompt is instructed to say so rather than sell you a score.

Can it handle a career change or a two year gap?+

Yes. Stage four of the interview asks about any period over four months that the jobs do not cover, and writes one honest line for it or leaves it out when the gap is short enough not to register. For a change of field it reorders what you already did against the advert rather than dressing it up as something it was not.

Do I have to read it myself?+

No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
