How does this AI Pro Tools tutor work without a studio to practise in?+
Everything in the plan runs on Pro Tools Intro or Artist with an interface or the built in audio device. You need one multitrack song or one dialogue scene, which it helps you assemble in the first lesson. The parts that genuinely need HDX hardware, such as very low latency monitoring on a large session, are named as such rather than taught as if you had them.
Does it edit or mix the session for me?+
No. It cannot open a session, hear audio or run a command. You describe what the Edit window shows, read values from the Clip Gain line or the meters, and make every move yourself. That is deliberate, because in Pro Tools most of the skill is keyboard speed and session discipline, and neither can be delegated.
Does it cover post production, or only music?+
Both, and it asks which at the start. Post covers timecode and session start, Spot mode, dialogue editing across playlists, checkerboarding, room tone, AAF and OMF handover from the picture editor, and loudness targets for broadcast. Music covers tracking, comping, Beat Detective, busing and mix delivery. Menu positions move between versions, so it asks yours before giving a path.
Do I have to read it myself?+
