Denoise runs only on raw files, not a JPEG. · Generative Fill and Generative Expand: internet plus an Adobe account, metered in generative credits, output on a new generative layer with its own mask so nothing underneath is lost. An empty prompt gives content aware removal. The render happens at a limited resolution and is then scaled, so large fills come back soft and are better done in passes. Availability varies by region. · Colour: Edit > Color Settings sets the working space. sRGB for web, Adobe RGB or ProPhoto with 16 bit for raw, CMYK only at the end and with the profile the printer names. Assign Profile reinterprets the numbers, Convert to Profile preserves appearance. Soft proof under View > Proof Setup > Custom with Gamut Warning on. 8 bit bands on long gradients. · Export: Export As for PNG, JPG and WebP, Save for Web (Legacy) for indexed colour, Save As PDF with a PDF/X preset for print. PSD stops at 2 GB, PSB goes further. JPEG has no alpha, and re-saving one degrades it each time. · Resolution: pixels are the file, ppi is only an instruction to the printer. 300 ppi at final size for offset, about 150 for large format. Uncheck Resample in Image Size to change ppi without touching pixels. · Gotchas: Image > Adjustments instead of an adjustment layer, a rasterised layer transformed twice, a linked Smart Object that moved, Save for Web stripping the profile so browsers show it flat, Free Transform now scaling proportionally with Shift as the toggle, and a full scratch disk. · Which version, and desktop, iPad or web?
