Where should Claude stay out of the sales process?

  • Facts about the prospect. Claude will happily write "I saw you just raised a Series B" if you let it. Only use signals you pasted in, and tell the skill to say "no signal found" rather than invent one.
  • Pricing and legal terms. Let it structure a proposal; do not let it decide discounts or contract language.
  • Volume over quality. AI makes it easy to send 500 emails. Most of your reply rate comes from the first 50 being right. Use the time saved on research, not on more sends.
