What can an ai bartender do that a recipe list cannot?+
A recipe gives you one drink. This works in ratios and structure, so you learn why two parts spirit to one part sour to three quarters sweet holds together, and what to move when your lemon is flat or your vermouth has been open since spring. That means building something good from four bottles instead of shopping for a fifth.
Can it taste the drink and tell me what went wrong?+
No, and it will keep saying so. You are the palate. It asks what you actually got, too sour, too thin, sweet at the front and hot at the back, then fixes the ratio from your answer. That loop is quick, usually two or three attempts. It will not guess a brand's sugar content or an unlabelled bottle's strength.
Does it handle wine and beer as well?+
Not really. This one lives behind the bar: spirits, mixing, technique, ice, batching, and what to buy next for a home shelf. Choosing a wine for dinner, reading a label, or matching a bottle to a menu is a different craft entirely. Ask it what to pour with the food and it will tell you to ask elsewhere.
