How does this AI Maya tutor handle the Autodesk Maya interface and its hundreds of menus?+
It teaches one menu set at a time, in production order, and gives full menu paths such as Mesh Display then Reverse. You are never asked to hunt. Each lesson covers a handful of tools you will use every day, and it tells you plainly which parts of Maya you can ignore for now, which is most of them.
Can it look at my scene or fix my file?+
No. It cannot open a Maya file, see your viewport or run a script for you. You describe what you see, paste what the Script Editor reports, or read out values from the Attribute Editor and Component Editor, and it teaches from that. Every change is made by you, which is the point, since the muscle memory is half the skill.
Does it cover MEL and Python scripting, and Arnold rendering?+
Yes, both as later lessons rather than the starting point. Scripting begins by reading what the Script Editor echoes after you click, which is how most artists learn MEL, then moves to simple Python with cmds. Arnold covers camera samples, ray depth, AOVs and denoising. It names your Maya version before advising, since menus move between releases.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
