I searched how to make a chatbot in python and got a script. What does this add?+

The parts a script skips. Streaming under WSGI without starving your workers, history in the ORM instead of a cookie, a rate limiter whose counters are shared across processes, retries that know when it is too late to retry, and a gunicorn and nginx configuration that does not buffer the stream into one lump on the way out.

Does this write the code for me, or do I still have to?+

It works with you in your editor. Loaded into Claude Code or Cursor it reads your project, asks about your versions and workers, then writes the view, the models and the deploy config with you. You still review every change, run the migrations, and take responsibility for what ships. It is a pair, not a generator.

Do I need to move to async, Channels or FastAPI to make this work?+

Usually no, and it says so plainly. Server sent events over a normal Flask route or Django view is enough for a chatbot, with the worker class chosen so streams do not block each other. It explains where async views or Channels genuinely earn the migration, and asks which Django version you are on first, because async support differs by release.

Which editors and AI tools does this work with?+
