How is this novel ideas generator different from the story idea generator?+
Scale, and what gets tested. The story idea generator gives you ten premises and stops there, which suits a short story where the premise is most of the work. This one gives you six and puts each through a full novel's structure: the protagonist's want, need and self deception, the two complications that carry act two, a word budget across three acts, and a plain verdict on whether the idea holds eighty thousand words or is really a short story. An honest no there saves you four months.
Why only six ideas and not twenty?+
Because twenty is a list and six is a decision. Each of the six comes with its arc, its cast, its subplot seeds and one paragraph on the specific way that book would fail. You can read a developed idea and know within a minute whether you want to spend a year with it. You cannot do that with a one line prompt.
Does it write the book, or the outline?+
Neither, and that is deliberate. It stops at the idea and its structure: no scenes, no chapters, no dialogue. If you want the chapter grid afterwards, the novel outline generator does that job. Keeping this one at idea level is what makes the six comparable, and it is also why the book stays in your voice.
Do I have to read it myself?+
