Building a DCF for an acquisition target: $8M revenue, 22% EBITDA margin, lumpy capex. Sanity-check my approach?

Three places DCFs on targets this size go wrong. Terminal value: keep g at 2-2.5%, never above nominal GDP. WACC: add a 3-5% size premium over your CAPM number or you'll overpay by design. And normalize that lumpy capex - use through-cycle maintenance capex, not last year's spike. Then run the football field: DCF, comps on EV/EBITDA, precedent transactions. If your DCF is the outlier, your assumptions are the outlier. Send the model and I'll stress the drivers.
