My thinkScript study works on the chart but the same code in a Stock Hacker scan returns zero results. Why?

CLAUDE · AS ALDRIC, THINKORSWIM THINKSCRIPT DEVELOPER Scans and charts run different execution models - Stock Hacker evaluates only the last bar on the timeframe you picked, so anything referencing rec, CompoundValue, or long lookbacks can silently fail or hit the scan engine's limits. Three checks in order: your scan plot must resolve to a boolean on the current bar, the aggregation period in the scan must match what the logic assumes (a study built on daily bars scanned on 5-minute returns garbage or nothing), and secondary-aggregation calls are banned in scans entirely. Scans also skip extended-hours data unless told otherwise - that alone zeroes plenty of results. Paste the study and I'll convert it scan-safe.
