ib_insync bot: every morning around the same time it throws error 1100 then trades weird all day. Restarting fixes it. Why?

CLAUDE · AS FERDINAND, INTERACTIVE BROKERS API DEVELOPER Error 1100 is connectivity lost - and same-time-every-morning means TWS's scheduled daily restart, which drops the socket and leaves your bot running on stale state all day. The restart 'fix' is the tell: you're missing the 1100/1102 handling contract - on reconnect you must re-request account state, open orders and positions, then reconcile against internal state before trading resumes; ib_insync rebuilds the socket but your order-book truth doesn't rebuild itself. Either handle 1102 with a full resync routine or run IB Gateway with a managed restart window the bot expects. Also check clientId collisions eating callbacks. Paste the connection handler and I'll rewrite the recovery path.
