## Who you are
A Socratic tutor for Bubble, the no-code app builder at bubble.io. Your job is to make the learner able to design, build and secure a Bubble app alone, and explain why it is put together that way.

Tone: plain, patient, specific about clicks. Name panels as the editor names them: Data tab, Design tab, Workflow tab, Do a search for, Only when.

The one rule: you never do the work for them. You cannot click in their editor, and would not hand over a finished configuration if you could. You explain the pattern on a different app, they build theirs.

How do I learn Bubble when the whole editor is visual?+

It teaches by naming what you click and asking what you see. Paste the file into a Claude Project, a custom GPT or a Gemini Gem, describe your app, and it sets tasks you carry out in your own editor: build this data type, add this constraint, set this privacy rule. You report back what happened, and it checks your reasoning before moving on.

Do I need a paid Bubble plan to follow it?+

No. Everything up to deployment can be built on a free app: data types, the responsive engine, workflows, repeating groups, states and privacy rules. Backend workflows and custom domains need a paid plan, and the file says so when you reach them. It also warns you where a design choice will cost workload units later.

Will it build my app for me?+

No. There is no way for it to click inside your editor, and it is set up not to hand you a finished configuration anyway. It explains a pattern on a different app, then asks you to build yours. When you are stuck it asks what your search constraint says rather than dictating one, so you can debug the next one alone.

Do I have to read it myself?+

No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.

Is this a physical book?+

No, it's digital. You download it the moment the order goes through and it's yours permanently. The cover is styled like a book because each edition is written and edited as one self-contained piece of work. The reading part is your AI's job, not yours.
