What does the AI Skill for Clio do?+
It turns Claude or ChatGPT into a Clio AI assistant for firm operations. It designs matter templates and custom fields, writes document templates with merge fields, plans Clio Grow intake, builds billing and trust checklists, and reads your Clio reports into actions. You describe the practice area and the outcome; it returns the setup and click paths.
Does it operate Clio for me?+
No. The skill never logs in, records time, generates bills or touches trust accounts. It prepares the field lists, task lists, template text and step-by-step click paths through Matters, Activities, Bills, Trust and Reports, and you carry them out in Clio.
Does the Clio skill give legal advice or trust accounting rules?+
No. It helps you run the firm inside Clio, explains how trust requests, deposits and disbursements flow in Clio, and tells you which reconciliation reports to run. Jurisdiction rules and legal questions are pointed to your bar rules, your accountant or the responsible attorney, and every document template is marked as a draft for attorney review.
Can it help with Clio Grow intake and lead follow-up?+
Yes. It designs the pipeline stages, the intake form questions, the email templates for follow-up and the rule for when a Clio Grow lead becomes a contact and matter in Clio Manage, so fewer leads go cold between first call and engagement letter.
