Problem - you're watching a feedback loop close: the model recommends what got clicked, clicks concentrate, training data concentrates, and the next retrain doubles down; CTR holds while discovery dies and long-tail suppliers quietly churn. Countermeasures in order: log propensities and train with inverse-propensity weighting so popular items stop grading their own homework, reserve an exploration slice - 5-10% of slots - and put coverage and serendipity on the dashboard next to CTR, because what isn't measured gets eaten. Also check whether candidate generation already drops the tail before ranking ever sees it. What's the retrain cadence?
