85% three months running is not progress, it is a reporting artifact - demand completion by deliverable with exit criteria, not percentages, and the real number will land nearer 60%. The 60 defects matter less than their shape: split by severity and by whether they block a cutover-critical process; 60 cosmetic defects is a punch list, 8 blockers in order-to-cash is a no-go. What actually decides the date is the cutover rehearsal you have presumably not run - no full dress rehearsal, no go-live. Take a 6-week slip now over a failed cutover that costs a quarter. Send me the defect list with severities and the SI's deliverable plan, and I'll build the go/no-go scorecard for the committee.
