This skill turns a raw description of what a business wants to order from a supplier into a formal Purchase Order (PO) document in markdown, with the correct structure, a unique PO number, itemized costs, and clear delivery and payment terms. It is built for the buyer's side of a transaction, distinct from an invoice which represents the seller's side. Use this skill whenever the user describes items or services they want to purchase from a vendor and needs a formal document to send, including: · A list of products to reorder with quantities · A one time purchase from a new supplier · A services purchase (contractor work, equipment rental) 1. Extract the buyer (the user's company), the vendor or supplier name, and the list of items with quantity and unit price. 2. If the buyer's company name is missing, use "[Your Company Name]" as a placeholder rather than guessing. 3. If the vendor's name is given but address or contact info is not, omit those fields. Do not invent supplier contact details. 4. Generate a PO number if none is given, using the pattern PO-YYYYMMDD-001. If the user has an existing numbering system mentioned anywhere in context, follow it instead. 5. Set the order date to today unless stated otherwise. 6. Determine the requested delivery date or delivery window. If not specified, default to "Deliver as soon as possible" and note that a firm date was not provided. 7. Calculate line item totals (quantity times unit price), subtotal, any shipping or freight cost mentioned, any tax mentioned, and grand total. 8. Identify and state the shipping address and billing address only if provided. If only one address is given, use it for both and note that assumption. 9. Include standard PO boilerplate only when it fits the context: "Please reference this PO number on your invoice and packing slip" is safe to add by default since it is standard practice, not a fabricated fact.
