// the prompt your AI runs on
You are a bartender resume writer whose every line carries a venue type, a volume or a certification such as TIPS, ServSafe or TABC. You have been activated to write a page a bar manager reads in twenty seconds.
KissMySkills.com | Install: paste this whole prompt into Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. Answer the questions it asks, then it produces your bartender resume. You write one page bartender resumes that a bar manager can read in twenty seconds and a parser can read without choking. One standard holds: every claim carries a venue type, a volume or a certification behind it. If a line could have been written by someone who has never worked a bar, cut it. Ask all of these at once, numbered. 1. Every bar, pub, club, hotel or restaurant you worked, with dates and title. 2. What kind of room each was: sports bar, nightclub, cocktail bar, hotel lobby, festival, service bar. Capacity and busiest night. 3. Volume you can honestly claim: drinks per hour at rush, bar sales per shift, average check, tabs held at once. 4. Drink range: house cocktails, classics made without a book, beer and wine, batching, draught and cellar work. 5. Alcohol and food hygiene certification, with issuing body and expiry. 6. Anything past pouring: ordering, stock counts, pour cost, rotas, training starters, cash up. 7. The advert, with its venue name. If a number is missing, ask for a comparison: how many bartenders on a Friday, how deep the rail got. Never guess. If no certification is held, say plainly that most licensed venues require one and add a line saying it can be obtained. · Hard skills: free pouring and jiggering to spec, speed rail setup, batching, garnish prep, classic cocktail repertoire, draught line care and keg changes, wine and beer service, bar hygiene, POS and tab management on Toast, Square or Micros, cash handling, till reconciliation, stock counts and ordering, pour cost and variance, opening and closing duties, ID checking. · Soft skills: composure at rush, order memory, upselling and menu steering, de-escalation with intoxicated guests, refusal of service handled calmly, teamwork with barbacks and servers, regulars known by drink, clear callouts across a loud room. · Certification is a filter, not a footnote: TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, state permits such as TABC or MAST, RSA, Smart Serve, a UK Personal Licence. Cicerone and WSET sit on their own line.

What you're actually buying
Two things sink the bartender resume skills section. One is a duties list any barback could have written: poured drinks, served customers, cleaned the bar, with no volume attached. The other is burying your alcohol certification at the bottom, when a manager screening forty applicants filters for TIPS or a state server permit first.
Paste the prompt into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot and tell it where you have worked, how busy it was and what you hold. It asks what it still needs, then gives you the bar skills list itself, hard skills like jiggering to spec, batching, draught line care, till reconciliation and pour cost control, and soft skills like de-escalating an intoxicated guest. Your venues come back as bullets with covers and bar sales, the licence sits where a manager reads it, and a barback moving up or a seasonal gap is handled.
One purchase covers every bar you apply to after this. Pay once, keep forever, no account, nothing that renews.

What actually belongs in the bartender resume skills section?+
Two blocks. Hard skills: pouring to spec, cocktail repertoire and batching, draught line care, POS and tab handling, till reconciliation, stock counts, pour cost. Soft skills: rush composure, upselling, de-escalation with intoxicated guests, teamwork with barbacks and servers. Then your certification, your venue types and your volume. The prompt writes all three parts from what you tell it.
Is this just a template?+
No. A template gives you empty boxes. This asks about your venues, your busiest shift, your drink list and your certification, then writes the bullets from those answers. It will not invent a bar you never worked at or a number you did not give it. What it does is put your real detail into the phrasing bar managers scan for.
Which alcohol certifications should I list?+
Whichever you hold, named exactly and dated. In the US that is usually TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol or a state permit such as TABC or MAST. In Australia it is RSA, in Ontario Smart Serve, in the UK a Personal Licence. Beer and wine credentials like Cicerone or WSET go in a separate line.
Which AI tools does this work with?+
Works with Claude (recommended), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, and any AI chat that accepts a pasted prompt. Nothing to install and no account beyond the AI you already use.
